Hugo Planning Commission <br />April 119 1979 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />DARRELL TAVERNIER β€” BOAT RENTAL ON BALD EAGLE LAKE <br />$ was determined that Mr. Tavernier's business was burned down on April 119 19779 <br />caused by an accident. He is requesting permission to construct a 26' x 40' building <br />to store equipment in conjunction with his boat rental operation. Taverder stated <br />that his business has been operating the past two summers. A copy of the city <br />attorney's letter regarding this matter was submitted to Tavernier. Greger stated <br />that the business is located in a residential zone, and he should be asking for a <br />rezoning. Mr. Tavernier stated that he would take down the present shed if he could <br />construct a new building. (GILLEN ARRIVED AT 8:30 PM). <br />Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Hanson, to table the Tavernier matter until the <br />meeting of April 25. 1979. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Let the record show that the applicant has requested a delay in order to provide time <br />for his attorney to contact the city attorney. <br />JEFF HUGHES β€” PURCHASE OF 3 ACRES IN AGRICULTURE ZONE <br />Mr. Hughes is interested in purchasing a three acre tract of land running along 8A. <br />The land is presently owned by Fred Benson, and it appears to be all on one deed. <br />County Road 8A separates this piece of land from the large acreage. Mr. Hughes had <br />been unable to complete a pert test prior to the meeting date. Hughes had talked to <br />Dan Koehler regarding this matter, and Dan had expressed concern about the high water <br />table in the area. Mr. Hughes is to appear at the next Planning Commission meeting <br />and present a pert test, a legal description of the land, and a sketch plan. He is <br />also to determine if the 3 acre tract is separate from the Benson farm. <br />HOWARD MOE β€” AMENDED SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br />Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Peloquin, to add Mr. Moe to the agenda for disβ€” <br />cussion purposes only. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Mr. Moe is requesting to have his previously issued Special Use Permit amended as <br />follows: (B & H Auto Sales) <br />1. Item 3 of the original permit states that Mr. Moe has until October 1, 19799 to <br />blacktop. A letter of credit in the amount of $3,000.00 is on file. Mr. Moe would <br />like an extension to October 1, 1980. <br />2, Item 9 of the original permit states an annual review. Mr. Moe would like this <br />stricken from the permit. <br />3. Item 10 of the original permit states that no more than eleven (11) cars allowed <br />for exterior storage. Mr. Moe would like this number increased to fifty (50) cars. <br />McAllister felt that the Commission should execute their authority and hold a public <br />hearing to notify adjoining property owners of the request. <br />
