Extension of the cattle crossing on Homestead Avenue located 1/2 mile <br />north of 147th Street, at an estimated cost of $19,595.00. <br />Given the total project cost of X41,355.00, staff believes that completion <br />of this project should be considered during the development of the City's <br />1994 budget. The Council discussed alternate ways of dealing with the <br />issue and felt that proper signing of the hazard would sufficient to alert <br />drivers. <br />LeroUX made motion, Miron seconded, to table this matter Until complete <br />signing information is received, and that Councilwoman Barnes contact <br />Verdene Molitor to determine a long-range plan for the crossing, and that <br />Barnes report her findings to the Council. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />WATER TOWER BIDS <br />Bids were received on January 28, 1993 for the construction of the City's <br />new water tower. City Engineer, Howard K.Lluslsto, recommended that the <br />City accept the low bid from C:BI Na-C;'on, Inc., in the amount of <br />$496,20u:).0 ►. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Barnes seconded, to accept the recommendation of <br />the City Engineer, and award the bid for construction Of the C.it.y's water <br />tower to CBI Na -Con, Inc., in the amount of $496,20i).ii(4. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />1993 SQUAD CAR PURCHASE <br />The Citi/ received a bid price for purchase of a new squad car in 1993, <br />under the State of Minnesota's Cooperative Purchasing Program, for <br />$12,888.00. This is a budget item for 1993 and staff recommends purchase <br />approval. <br />Miron made motion, Leroux; seconded, to approve the purchase of a new squad <br />car in 1993, in the amount of12,888.�►i►. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />CAPITAL CITY MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT <br />The Council received a copy of a proposed contract ex;tericii.ng (:;i.ty <br />participation in Capital City Mutual Aid Association for- a period of fi.ve <br />years. The City's Fire Chief recommends the City's contint..ted <br />participation in this program. Staff review of the cont.rac:t indicates. <br />that it is acceptable to the City. <br />LeroUX made motion, Miron seconded, that. the City of HUC�Q1 enter into a <br />five-year contract with the Capital City Mutual Aid Associ.ation, and <br />authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to sign said Agreement on behalf of the <br />City of Hugo. <br />All aye.
