City Council meeting of June %, 1993 <br />Page '7 <br />recommends the Council post notice of a vacancy in the fire chief's <br />position, and appoint a five -member panel to review applications, conduct <br />interviews, and make recommendation to the Council for the position of <br />fire chief. The proposed panel would be comprised of one Council member, <br />one fire official from a neighboring community, two citizens of the <br />community, and the City Administrator. <br />Leroux; made motion, Barnes seconded, to accept the recommendation of the <br />City Administrator and reappoint_ Jim Compton as 1st assistant chief, and <br />Ron Gray as second assistant chief for a period of six; months. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes. Brunotte, Leroux;, Miron <br />VOTING NAY: Stoltzman <br />Motion Carried. <br />Miron made motion, Leroux; seconded, to appoint Jim Wisner as acting Fire <br />Chief, effective July 1, 1907, until such time as a permanent appointment <br />can be made. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Brunott:.e, Leroux, Miron <br />VOTING NAY: Stoltzman <br />Motion Carried. <br />Leroux: made motion, hrunot_tE:i.' seconded, that a five -member- panel be <br />appointed to review Fire Chief applications, conduct intervierws, and make <br />a recommendation to the Council for the Chief's position. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Brunot-L-e, Leroux, Miro; <br />VOTING NAY: Stoltzman <br />Motion Carried. <br />Miron made motion, Leroux seconded, that they City present.
