City Council meeting of September 7, 1993 <br />Page 2 <br />PC considered this request at their meeting of August 25, 1993, and <br />recommended approval of the SUP to construct a storage building on the lot <br />adjacent to the Chalupsky residence at E3010 - 1•30th Street, subject to <br />special conditions. <br />Miron made motion, Brunotte seconded, to approve the Special Use Permit <br />request of Grover Storm and Lloyd Chalupsky to construct a storage <br />building on that part of the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4, Section 27, T31N, R21W, <br />Washington County, MN., adjacent to the Chalupsky residence at E3010 13oth <br />Street. Approval is subject to the following special conditions: <br />1. The SUP shall terminate at any time the parcels currently owned by the <br />Chalupsky's are sold or transferred separately. <br />2. The Chalupskys represent and warrant to reimburse the -City for all <br />fees and expenses involved in enforcement of City Ordinances on their <br />property subject to the SUP. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />VARIANCE (GAMBONI) <br />Martin Gamboni applied for a variance to construct an addition on the <br />front of his house located at 14715 Forest Blvd. Mr. Gamboni wishes to <br />add a 4' addition to the front of his house, bringing the home within 11' <br />of Trunk Highway 61. Mr. Gamboni's home is located in a Cb district, <br />which requires a front yard setback: of 10'. Chapter 320-5, Subd. D(5) of <br />the Hugo City Code, states that where adjoining structures existing at the <br />time of adoption of this ordinance have a different setback: from that <br />required, the front setback of a new structure shall conform to prevailing <br />setback in the immediate vicinity. In this case, Mr. Gamboni's addition <br />will be forward of the setbacks of adjacent property. The Board of Zoning <br />Adjustments considered this request at their meeting of August 25, 199•_x, <br />and recommended approval. <br />Stolt man made motion, Leroux: seconded, to approve the variance request of <br />Martin Gamboni, 14715 Forest Blvd., to construct a 12' addition to the <br />front of his house, 11' from Trun4:. Highway 61. <br />VOTING AYE: Brunotte, Leroux:, Miron, Stolt man <br />VOTING NAY: Barnes <br />Motion Carried. <br />Councilwoman Barnes stated her reasons for voting against the motion: <br />alternate sites available for the addition, house was already closest to <br />the road along highway, and possible problems should the highway be <br />widened. <br />SPECIAL USE PERMIT (STOLTZMAN) <br />On August 16, 1993, the Hugo City Council tabled action on this matter <br />until the meeting of September 7, 1993. The City Attorney provided <br />possible amendments to the SUP for Council consideration. The Citi/ <br />received a letter from Mr. Stolt man's attorney requesting the tabling of <br />this matter. <br />
