City Council meeting of September 7, 1993 <br />Page _ <br />Barnes made motion, Miron seconded, to table the Stolt man SUP until the <br />meeting of September 20, 1993. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Brunotte, Leroux, Miron <br />ABSTAINED: Stolt man <br />Motion Carried. <br />BRAUN INTERTEC PRESENTATION <br />Colby Verdigan, representing Braun Intertec, made a presentation to the <br />City Council regarding the firm's determination of ground water levels and <br />their relationship to first floor elevations in subdivisibns. <br />DRAFT SURVEY (COMPREHENSIVE FLAN) <br />Judy Marshik, representing Research QUik, reviewed with the Council, the <br />draft -survey currently under review by the Comprehensive Flan Study <br />Commissions and the Planning Commission. <br />STORM WATER DRAINAGE ISSUES <br />The City has received three complaints regarding the impact of property <br />development on storm water flows. In order to adequately address these <br />complaints, staff requested that the Council establish standards to be <br />used in determining the validity of these complaints. The Council <br />reviewed the City Administrator's recommendation for such standards. This <br />matter will be discussed further at the Council workshop set for September <br />25, 1993. <br />FIRE RELIEF BENEFIT CHANGE <br />The Council considered a request from the Hugo Firemen Relief Association <br />to increase retirement benefits for qualifying members of the Hugo <br />Volunteer FD from $600.00 per year of service to per year of <br />service, effective January 1, 1994. Ron Otkin, the City's Finance <br />Director, reviewed this request, as well as the current financial <br />statements of the Fire Department, and believes that the Relief <br />Association has sufficient assets to provide this increase in benefits <br />without additional funding from the City. Staff recommended approval of <br />the benefit change. <br />LeroUX made motion, Miron seconded, to approve the request from the Hugo <br />Firemen Relief Association to increase the retirement benefits for <br />qualifying members from $600.00 per year of service to per year of <br />service, effective January 1, 1994. <br />A11 aye. Motion Carried. <br />FIRE FIGHTER APPLICATION <br />Jim Wisner, Fire Chief, recommended the appointment of Richard P. Inott as <br />a fire fighter in the Hugo Volunteer FD. <br />
