City Council meeting of December 8, 1993 <br />Page 2 <br />1994 LICENSES <br />The Council considered a resolution approving liquor licenses for <br />businesses in the community. <br />Miron made motion, Brunotte seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 9•? -17, A <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING LIQUOR AND RELATED LICENSES FOR THE YEAR 1993. <br />Approval for Ricci's is contingent upon receipt of their dram shop <br />insurance. Approval for RJ's is contingent upon approval of their <br />off -sale liquor license by the Washington County Sheriff's Dept. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />GAMBLING LICENSE (AMERICAN LEGION CLUES #620) <br />The American Legion Club #620 has made application for a Premise Permit to <br />conduct charitable gambling at their place of business located at 57•=6 <br />147th Street North. Staff recommended approval of the request. <br />Leroux: made motion, Miron seconded, to approve the Gambling Premise Permit <br />for the American Legion Club #620 to conduct charitable gambling at their <br />place of business located at 5736 147th Street, Hugo, MN, and waiver of <br />any waiting period required for this permit. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />GAMBLING LICENSES (HUGO LIONS CLUES ) <br />Stoltzman made motion, Leroux; seconded, to approve the Gambling Premise <br />Permits for the Huqo Lions Club to conduct charitable gambling at RJ's, <br />1•:891 Forest Boulevard, and Ricci's Saloon, 14777 Forest Boulevard, all in <br />the City of Hugo, MN, and waiver of any waiting period required for these <br />permits. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />1994 APPOINTMENTS <br />Staff requested Council guidance for the preparation of recommendations <br />for the annual appointment of officers and agencies in January, 1994, as <br />follows: <br />1. <br />Designation <br />of <br />depositories for City funds. <br />2. <br />Designation <br />of <br />official newspaper. <br />3. <br />Appointment <br />of <br />City Engineer. <br />4. <br />Appointment <br />of <br />City Attorney. <br />5. <br />Appointment <br />of <br />Civil Defense Director. <br />6. <br />Appointment <br />of <br />Fire Department Officers. <br />7. <br />Appointment <br />of <br />one member of the Hugo Planning Commission. <br />8. <br />Appointment <br />of <br />a chairperson and secretary for the Planning <br />Commission. <br />9. Appointment to the Board of Zoning Adjustments and Appeals (three <br />members). <br />10. Appointment of an acting Mayor. <br />
