City Council meeting of March lb, 1992 <br />Page _ <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br />Mayor Stoltzman reported on the following correspondence received by the <br />City: <br />1. Letter from the Brown's Creek Watershed Management Organization <br />(BCWMO) regarding the administration of the new State Wetland <br />Conservation Act. Because of the current change in administration, <br />the City will take no action indicating our intent to not administer <br />the new law. <br />2. Letter from the Washington County Public Works Dept., updating the <br />City on the Hazard Elimination Safety Program. <br />3. Letter from Anoka Electric Cooperative regarding the implementation of <br />new construction charges for street lights. <br />4. Letter from Mardell Law Office regarding an increase in their criminal <br />billing rate effective April 1, 1992. <br />5. Letter from Government Training Services regarding a seminar to be <br />held April 10, 1992, in St. Cloud, MN. Any one interested in <br />attending should notify the Clerk so that the appropriate reservations <br />and fee can be handled. <br />b. Letter from Kenco regarding the effective date of the newly <br />implemented WAC and FEC charges. They are requesting an effective <br />date of August 31, 1992 to allow them time to adjust to the new fees. <br />This request was referred to the City Engineer. <br />7. Letter from NSP notifying the City Council of a get together on April <br />29, 1992 at 10:00 AM, Ruberto's Restaurant, and an afternoon tour of <br />King power plant located in Oak: Park Heights. <br />B. Letter from Washington Community Services regarding the summer youth <br />programs available. <br />9. Letter to Council Miron regarding the lack of a "leash law" in the <br />City of Hugo. It was noted that the concerned resident could possibly <br />charge the offending party under the Nuisance Ordinance. <br />ROAD PETITION <br />Mr. Pat Hebert, resident on Henna Avenue, presented the City with a <br />petition for road improvements to Henna Avenue between 170th Street and <br />180th Street. <br />Miron made motion, Brunotte seconded, to refer the road improvement <br />petition to the City staff for review and completeness and to commence <br />with Chapter 429 proceedings. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />ADMINISTRATOR HEALTH INSURANCE <br />Barnes made motion, Stoltzman seconded, that the City of Hugo continue the <br />health/dental insurance, currently provided to the City Administrator, F:.en <br />Huber, for the month of April, 1992, in lieu of consulting services. Mr. <br />Brunotte stated that he voted against renewing the City Administrator's <br />contract earlier, and he couldn't support this proposal now. Mr. Miron <br />stated that he agreed with Mr. Brunotte. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Jesinsk-i, Stoltzman <br />VOTING NAY: Brunotte and Mir -on <br />Motion Carried. <br />
