City Council meeting of June 1, 199 <br />Page 4 <br />VARIANCE TO SE:THAQ (WF_NHOLZ ) <br />The Board of Zoning Adjustments considered the request of Dale & Rayne <br />Wenholz for a 10' variance to construct a pole barn within the required <br />side yard setback in an agricultural district. The Board recommended <br />approval of the setback. <br />Leroux made motion, Barnes seconded, to approve the request of Dale and <br />Rayne Wenholz of 6827 170th Street, to construct a 30' x 48' pole building <br />10' from his west property line (20' required). The proposed building is <br />to be used for residential purposes only. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />VAR I ANCE TO SETBACK (HARV I EUX ) <br />Charles Harvieux requested a variance from the City's Shoreland Ordinance <br />for construction of a new drain field within 200' of Long Lake. Upon <br />consideration, the Board of Zoning Adjustments recommended approval of the <br />request. <br />Mi.ron made motion, Stolt man seconded, to approve the variance request of <br />Charles Harvieux of 9171 130th Street, to construct a new drain field 100' <br />from the shore land of Long Lake (200' required) . <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />C':IVERSIZE.D GARAGE. <br />Thomas and Janis Raster have requested a variance to construct an <br />oversized garage on their property located at 15227 Greene Ave. (zoned <br />Agriculture). <br />Stolt man made motion, Brunotte seconded, to approve the variance request <br />of Thomas and Janis Raster of 15227 Greene Avenue, to construct a <br />one -stall addition to an existing two -car garage, thereby creating an <br />oversized garage. The proposed structure is to be used for residential <br />purposes only. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Miron made motion, Leroux seconded. directing the City Admin:istrai or to <br />review present City regulations regarding oversized garages and determine <br />and "typical" size garage to be incorporated into City ordinance. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />STREET MA I NTF_.hJANCE F OL I CY <br />At she May 15, 1V92 City Council meeting, the City Administrator- was <br />directed to draft a haul -road policy for the City. The Council received <br />proposal for a street maintenance policy, which includes haul roads, as <br />well as other sections pertinent to the operation and maintenance of the <br />City's mads. The Council will review and discuss at a later- date. <br />
