PRESENT: Barnes, Brunotte, Leroux, Miron, Stoltzman City Administrator, Bob Museus City Attorney, Charles Johnson City Clerk:, Mary Ann Creager Miron made motion, Brunotte seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council meeting of June 1, 19929 as amended. All aye. Motion Carried. Leroux made motion, Barnes seconded, to approve the claims for June 15, 1992, in the amount of $40,845.25. All aye. Motion Carried. CHARITABLE GAMBLING LICENSE The Church of Saint John the Baptist has requested a renewal of their Charitable Gambling Permit. No problems have been identified with their gambling operation. Recommend approval by motion. Miron made motion, Stoltzman seconded, that. the City Council does hereby resolve that they have no objections to issuance of a Gambling License, pursuant to M.S. 349.213, Subd. 2, for the Church of St. John the Baptist, 14+83 Forest Blvd. on August 23, 1992, for the purpose of conducting lawful gambling, and waiver of the 60 --day waiting period. All aye. Motion Carried. MINING APPLICATIONS (RIVE- C I TY.y ASPHAL T / DEAN AT M:: I NSON ) The Council requested a hearing be established for River City Asphalt's application for a mining permit for their property currently being mined under a SUP. Following the last Council meeting, Dean Atkinson also submitted an application for a renewal of his mining permit under a SUP. Given the close proximity of the two operations, both applications were included in the public notice for the hearing. Due to the fact that they are separate applications, it: would be appropriate to consider each application as a separate item, subject to their own public comments and Council findings. Both existing permits expire July 1, 1992. DEAN ATKINSON The Council reviewed Mr. Atkinson's existing permit to update it., where necessary. The public: hearing was opened, and no c._omments were made, f::::,r or against. Barnes made motion, Leroux seconded, to approve the rene"a1 of the !'lining Permit for Dean Atkinson until Jul.; 1., 1.990, subject to special conditions, as on file in the City. All aye. Motion Carried.
