M I MUTES FOR THE CITY C:C1Uf`JC 1 f__ T'IF'F '1" 1 NO QE,j L.►fJE <br />-1 5 . <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Stoltzman at 7:00 FM. <br />PRESENT: Barnes, Brunotte, Leroux, Miron, Stoltzman <br />City Administrator, Bob Museus <br />City Attorney, Charles Johnson <br />City Clerk:, Mary Ann Creager <br />Miron made motion, Brunotte seconded, to approve the minutes for the City <br />Council meeting of June 1, 19929 as amended. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Leroux made motion, Barnes seconded, to approve the claims for June 15, <br />1992, in the amount of $40,845.25. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />CHARITABLE GAMBLING LICENSE <br />The Church of Saint John the Baptist has requested a renewal of their <br />Charitable Gambling Permit. No problems have been identified with their <br />gambling operation. Recommend approval by motion. <br />Miron made motion, Stoltzman seconded, that. the City Council does hereby <br />resolve that they have no objections to issuance of a Gambling License, <br />pursuant to M.S. 349.213, Subd. 2, for the Church of St. John the Baptist, <br />14+83 Forest Blvd. on August 23, 1992, for the purpose of conducting <br />lawful gambling, and waiver of the 60 --day waiting period. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MINING APPLICATIONS (RIVE- C I TY.y ASPHAL T / DEAN AT M:: I NSON ) <br />The Council requested a hearing be established for River City Asphalt's <br />application for a mining permit for their property currently being mined <br />under a SUP. Following the last Council meeting, Dean Atkinson also <br />submitted an application for a renewal of his mining permit under a SUP. <br />Given the close proximity of the two operations, both applications were <br />included in the public notice for the hearing. Due to the fact that they <br />are separate applications, it: would be appropriate to consider each <br />application as a separate item, subject to their own public comments and <br />Council findings. Both existing permits expire July 1, 1992. <br />DEAN ATKINSON <br />The Council reviewed Mr. Atkinson's existing permit to update it., where <br />necessary. The public: hearing was opened, and no c._omments were made, f::::,r <br />or against. <br />Barnes made motion, Leroux seconded, to approve the rene"a1 of the !'lining <br />Permit for Dean Atkinson until Jul.; 1., 1.990, subject to special <br />conditions, as on file in the City. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
