MINUTES OF 1.HE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 2C►. 1992 The regular meeting was called to order by Flavor Stoltzman at 7:OOPM. PRESENT: Barnes, Brunotte, Leroux, Miron, Stoltzman, Administrator Museus, Ron Otk:in, Charles Johnson, Carole LaBelle Motion made by Leroux, seconded by Miron to approve the Minutes of July 6, 1992 as amended. All aye, motion passed. Motion made by Miron, seconded by Brunotte to approve the claims of July 20, 1992 in the amount of $212,35..87. All aye, motion passed. Councilman Miron noted that $104,257.40 was half of the law enforcement contract, and $98,748.77 was contractor's estimate on paving project. CHARITABLE GAMEBLING_LICENSE �(WBL LIOt- ) The WBL Lions Club has requested a Minnesota Lawful Gambling License to conduct Class B charitable gambling at the Hugo American Legion Club, 57.36 147th Street North, Hugo, MN. Revenue from the sale of pull tabs at the American Legion will go to support the WBL Lion Club's charitable activities, such as the community ambulance service. Motion made by Leroux, seconded by Miron to approve the gambling license application of the White Bear Lake Lion's Club to operate at the American Legion Club in Hugo. All aye, motion passed. CHARITABLE GAMBLING LICENSE (SILVER SPUR SADDLE CLUB) The Silver Spur Saddle Club, Inc., has requested a Class B charitable gambling license for the sale of pull tabs at. the Blacksmith Lounge, 1.7205 Forest Blvd. North, Hugo, MN. Revenues from the charitable gambling activities will go to support equestrian -oriented youth, education programs. Dan Ramberg of Woodioch Stables was present to address Questions from the Council. He stated that proceeds will enhance equestrian education, clinics, and lessons for disadvantaged youth and interested horsepersons. Motion made by Miron, seconded by Stolt:man to approve the charitable gambling, license application for the Silver Spur Saddle Club to operate at. the Blacksmith Lounge, Huoo. All aye, motion passed.
