MINUTES OF 1.HE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 2C►. 1992 <br />The regular meeting was called to order by Flavor Stoltzman at 7:OOPM. <br />PRESENT: Barnes, Brunotte, Leroux, Miron, Stoltzman, Administrator <br />Museus, Ron Otk:in, Charles Johnson, Carole LaBelle <br />Motion made by Leroux, seconded by Miron to approve the Minutes of July 6, <br />1992 as amended. <br />All aye, motion passed. <br />Motion made by Miron, seconded by Brunotte to approve the claims of July <br />20, 1992 in the amount of $212,35..87. <br />All aye, motion passed. <br />Councilman Miron noted that $104,257.40 was half of the law enforcement <br />contract, and $98,748.77 was contractor's estimate on paving project. <br />CHARITABLE GAMEBLING_LICENSE �(WBL LIOt- ) <br />The WBL Lions Club has requested a Minnesota Lawful Gambling License to <br />conduct Class B charitable gambling at the Hugo American Legion Club, 57.36 <br />147th Street North, Hugo, MN. Revenue from the sale of pull tabs at the <br />American Legion will go to support the WBL Lion Club's charitable <br />activities, such as the community ambulance service. <br />Motion made by Leroux, seconded by Miron to approve the gambling license <br />application of the White Bear Lake Lion's Club to operate at the American <br />Legion Club in Hugo. <br />All aye, motion passed. <br />CHARITABLE GAMBLING LICENSE (SILVER SPUR SADDLE CLUB) <br />The Silver Spur Saddle Club, Inc., has requested a Class B charitable <br />gambling license for the sale of pull tabs at. the Blacksmith Lounge, 1.7205 <br />Forest Blvd. North, Hugo, MN. Revenues from the charitable gambling <br />activities will go to support equestrian -oriented youth, education <br />programs. <br />Dan Ramberg of Woodioch Stables was present to address Questions from the <br />Council. He stated that proceeds will enhance equestrian education, <br />clinics, and lessons for disadvantaged youth and interested horsepersons. <br />Motion made by Miron, seconded by Stolt:man to approve the charitable <br />gambling, license application for the Silver Spur Saddle Club to operate at. <br />the Blacksmith Lounge, Huoo. <br />All aye, motion passed. <br />
