City Council meeting of August. 17, 1992 <br />Page <br />SET HEARING DATE FOR CHANGES TO CABLE TV ORDINANCE <br />As part of the change in ownership of North Central Cable Communications <br />Corporation, the cable company has requested a change in the City <br />ordinance, which would delete the public's authority to use the <br />programming equipment currently made available to the Ramsey/Washington <br />County Cable Television Commission. This deletion is made necessary due <br />to a change in control of the equipment from the cable company to the <br />Ramsey/County Cable Commission. To proceed with this matter, the Council <br />would need to establish a hearing date for the proposed changes to the <br />City's Cable Ordinance. <br />Miron made motion, Stoltzman seconded, to set a public hearing date for <br />September 8} 1992, at 7:05 PM, to consider a change in the City's Cable <br />Ordinance for deletion of the public's authority to use the programming <br />equipment currently made available to the Ramsey/Washington County Cable <br />Television Commission. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />RESOLUTION CALLING FOR REDEMPTION OF 1974 IMPROVEMENT BONDS <br />City Finance Director, Ron Otkin, has recommended that the City Council <br />adopt the proposed resolution calling $190,000 in bonds remaining from the <br />City's 1974 General Obligation Sanitary Sewer Improvement Issue. By <br />calling these bonds, the City would release approximately $260,000 for <br />transfer into the City's Capital Facilities and Equipment Fund, while <br />reducing future interest expense by $16,500. <br />Miron made motion, LeroUX seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1992-22, <br />RESOLUTION CALLING FOR REDEMPTION OF ALL OUTSTANDING BONDS OF THE CITY'S <br />$650,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT BONDS OF' 1974. <br />VOTING AYE: Brunotte, LeroU;;, Miron, Stoltzman <br />Motion Carried. <br />Miran made motion, Stoltzman seconded, to deposit the balance of funds <br />from the City's 1974 General Obligation Sanitary Sewer Improvement Issue <br />to the City's Capital Facilities and Equipment Fund. These funds are to <br />be designated for future utility improvements. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />RESOLUTION DESIGNATING 1992 ELECTION JUDGES <br />Stoltzman made motion, Brunotte seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION .1992-23, <br />RESOLUTION LISTING THE JUDGES FOR THE 1992 ELECTIONS. <br />VOTING AYE: Brunotte, LeroU::, Miron, Stoltzman <br />Motion Carried. <br />RESOLUTION SETTLING LITIGATION FOR SANTANNI ASSESSMENT <br />Based on Council discussions with the City Attorney on AUgust 1992, a <br />proposed settlement has been reached in the ongoing litigation with Dan <br />Santanni over the CIF' Phase 2 assessments. <br />
