M <br />Parks Commission, City of Hugo <br />December 15, 2010 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />Council Chambers, City Hall <br />Call to Order <br />0- <br />Present: Rachel Berger, Derek Larsen, Dave Strub, Jim Taylor, Mat Rauschendorfer, <br />Tom Windisch <br />Absent: Roger Clarke, Kris Birch, Noel Schmidt <br />Staff Present: Scott Anderson, Public Works Director <br />Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner <br />Jim Taylor called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. <br />I. Approval of Minutes of November 10, 2010 <br />Larsen made a motion, Strub seconded to approve the minutes of the November 10, <br />2010 Parks Commission meeting. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />Il. Update on Recommendations to the City Council <br />Taylor updated the commission on the November 15, 2010 City Council meeting. The <br />Council discussed three recommendations from the Parks Commission. <br />The Public Conduct in Parks Ordinance was approved. <br />The Council discussed and supported a tobacco use policy and remanded it back to the <br />Parks Commission. <br />The Council approved the Park Dedication Policy as drafted by the EDA, removing the <br />requirement for park dedication in commercial and industrial developments. The Council <br />also requested that the Policy be reviewed in four years. Larsen asked how much <br />funding with be lost.
