Rachel Berger, member of the Parks Commission, indicated the Parks <br />Commission was not unanimous on this policy, especially the enforcement of it. <br />She said she felt this policy would be in the best interest to the community. <br />Haas made motion, Weidt seconded, to not approve the Tobacco Use in City <br />Parks Policy. The motion carried with one nay vote. <br />IV. Update on the Health Up and GO Wellness Challenge <br />The Health Up and Go Wellness Challenge kickoff event that took place at Hugo <br />City Hall on Saturday, April 30, 2011 and included free health screening, kids <br />programs, and connections with local gyms and fitness options was a success. <br />As part of the summer -long 148 day wellness challenge, Chiropractor Bill Barrett <br />registered people for the Hugo Walking Club, which will get together every <br />Monday at 6:30pm at City Hall. The public is encouraged to contact City Hall for <br />information on the Health Up and GO Wellness Challenge Events. <br />-3- <br />Parks Commission <br />May 11, 2011 <br />
