Minutes <br />Parks Commission, City of Hugo <br />September 26, 2012 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />Council Chambers, City Hall <br />Call to Order <br />Present: Joan Benner, Rachel Berger, Chris Boland, Mat Rauschendorfer, <br />Tom Windisch, Kris Birch <br />Absent: Roger Clarke, Dave Strub, Jim Taylor <br />Staff Present: Bryan Bear, City Administrator <br />Scott Anderson, Public Works Director <br />Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner <br />Debi Close, Parks Secretary <br />Elizabeth Hanson, Planning Intern <br />Jim Taylor called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. <br />I. Approval of Minutes from August Meeting <br />Windisch made a motion, Rauschendorfer seconded to approve the minutes of the August 8, <br />2012 Parks Commission meeting. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />II. Agenda Review <br />Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner summarized the meeting agenda and that agenda items <br />included the Preliminary Master Plan proposed for the Lions Park followed by a proposed park <br />dedication for a potential development on property west of the park. <br />III. Presentation of the Lions Park Preliminary Master Plan <br />Amanda Prosser, Landscape Architect from WSB & Associates presented the Lions Park <br />Preliminary Master Plan. Plan Highlights included closing of Fitzgerald Avenue to thu traffic to <br />provide City Hall & park parking, continuous pedestrian walk way throughout the public areas <br />and connections to the Hardwood Creek Trail, designated vehicle entrances for event access, <br />
