Tzec�eat�ovL + rogovll,s <br />"The Hunger Games" Now Showing <br />Friday, June 14 <br />Central Middle School Auditorium <br />White Bear Lake Area Schools Commu- <br />nity Services & Recreation Department <br />and the City of Hugo have partnered to <br />present a showing of "The Hunger <br />Games" (PG -13) on Friday, June 14 at <br />Central Middle School in the auditorium. <br />Central Middle School is located at 4857 <br />Bloom Ave. in White Bear Lake. The <br />doors will open at 10:00am and the movie <br />will start at 10:30am. The movie is free. <br />Popcorn will be available to purchase. <br />Parent/Guardian permission is required for <br />children ages 13 and under. <br />Great American Camp Out <br />Saturday, June 22 <br />Harrill Fields Athletic Park <br />Join thousands of people across the nation <br />in the Great American Campout! Stay up <br />late playing games and making s'mores <br />over the campfire. Sleep under the stars on <br />the soccer fields at Hanifl Fields Athletic <br />Park. By participating in this campout, <br />there is an opportunity to raise funds for <br />the National Wildlife Foundation if you <br />choose to. You can also just simply join in <br />the fun! This is the one night <br />of the year that camping overnight is <br />allowed in a Hugo park! Learn <br />outdoor skills such as fire building, knot <br />tying, and tree identification <br />with fun games, experi- <br />ments, and songs! You <br />will even learn 5 ways to <br />make a s'more! <br />Pre -registration is <br />required. The,cost is $30. <br />Kids To Park Day <br />Saturday, May 18 <br />This great nation-wide day of r <br />outdoor play is organized by National <br />Park Trust. This year's Kids To Park Day <br />will be held on Saturday May 18, the week <br />before the official start of Summer. <br />National Park Trust is encouraging <br />children across the country to explore their <br />neighborhood parks and discover the <br />history, nature and adventure right around <br />the comer or just across town. <br />Information is available at http:// <br />kidstoparks.org/. Please checkout activity <br />ideas, scavenger hunts, information about <br />each ofHugo's parks and more on the <br />City's website. <br />Park Play Days <br />Tuesdays at Diamond Point Park <br />Thursdays at Beaver Ponds Park <br />9:OOam-11:OOam <br />June 18— August 1 <br />Kids ages 6 and up are invited to come to <br />Hugo parks to play games together such as <br />kickball, frogger, freeze tag, giant rock - <br />papers scissors, and much more! Kids will <br />be given lots of fun options for active play <br />and allowed to choose which activity the <br />group will do next. Bring your fiends and <br />neighbors to play in the park together! <br />This program is free! Adults are invited to <br />join in the fun also! Contact information <br />must be provided on site from parents/ <br />guardians if they are not at the park with <br />their participating kid. <br />Park shelters may <br />be used on a "first <br />come, first served" <br />basis except with a <br />$5 permit. <br />To reserve a park <br />shelter or commu- <br />nity room, contact <br />City Hall at 651- <br />762-6300.
