Waters Edge 2nd Addition and Diamond Point East are developments that experienced the most activity. The City's vacant lots are quickly dwindling and the City anticipates seeing new residential plats as a result of the limited number of available lots. Spring is a popular time for homeowners to begin tackling a variety of home improve- ment projects from simple repairs to entire makeovers. Many of these undertakings require a permit. Make sure to check before starting work to see if your project requires one. Please call Building Department Secretary Debi Close at 651-762-6300 for more information on building permits. Common Building Permits., Plumbing: for bathroom and kitchen renovations where plumbing infrastructure is changed, moved, replaced, etc. Electrical: for any project where electrical infrastructure is changed, including finish- ing a basement, bathroom and kitchen renovations, rewiring, moving walls, etc. Mechanical: for any project where mechanical infrastructure is changed, such as installing gas line, new HVAC unit or duct work, gas fire place, residential exhaust hood, etc. Building: for any remodeling project in- cluding but not limited to tearing down walls, moving walls, roofing, siding, replacing windows, decks or other structural build -outs. t_ecreat'ovu Progovws Cowt�v iced The City of Hugo is proud to announce that Skyhawks Sports Academy is offering programs in Hugo at Harrill Fields Athletic Park. Registration is also available in person at City Hall. Skyhawk's Mini -hawk Sport Camp This multi -sport program gives children a positive first step into athletics. Baseball, basketball and soccer are taught in a safe, structured environment with lots of encour- agement and a big focus on fun. The Mini - Hawk games and activities were designed to allow campers to explore balance, movement, hand/eye coordination, and skill development at their own pace. Skyhawks staff are trained to handle the specific needs of young athletes. All par- ticipants receive a t -shirt, soccer ball and a merit award. The participant -to -coach ratio is approximately 8:1. For ages 4-7. SkyhawWs Multi -Sport Camp. The mull -sport camp is designed to intro- duce athletes to a variety of different sports in one setting. For this program soccer, basketball and baseball are com- bined into one fun -filled week. Athletes will learn the rules and essentials skills of each sport along with vital life lessons such as respect and teamwork. All partici- pants receive a t -shirt, soccer ball and a merit award.
