At the meeting of June 12, 2013, the Parks Commission continued discussions on potential properties <br />and made a motion to continue discussion on the City owned property in the Bald Eagle Industrial Park <br />and Irish Avenue Park. Staff was also directed to look at properties that are for sale. <br />Please see the attached memo. <br />Staff could be directed to continue look for property that meets the criteria (approved by the Parks <br />Commission) for a future dog park that either becomes available for sale or through future park <br />dedications. <br />4. 7:40 pm Frog Hollow Park <br />At the meeting of June 13, 2013, the Parks Commission heard a presentation from Chloe Simanek <br />expressing concern over the safety of the skateboard slider at Frog Hollow Park. Simanek proposed the <br />addition of more swings to the park. A motion was made and seconded to remove the skate slider and to <br />discuss replacement options at a future meeting. <br />At the meeting of July 10, 2013 the Parks Commission was presented a survey by Simanek of <br />approximately 60 of her neighbors and the preferred equipment to replace the skate slider was a "Pizza <br />Swing", a multi -person swing. Staff was directed to get estimates and safety space information for <br />equipment options. Staff recommends installation of the Commet (multi -person spinner) or Volito (multi - <br />person swing). <br />Please see attached playground descriptions. <br />5. 8:00 pm Tour de Hugo Update <br />The third Annual Tour de Hugo is scheduled for Saturday, September 14. This year, additional routes <br />were added. These include a 6 mile ride that is primarily off-road and ideal for families as well as a 45 <br />mile ride for experienced bike riders. Several businesses, neighborhoods, and other organizations have <br />formed teams for the Tour de Hugo. The Parks Commission could consider forming a team also. <br />See attached flyer. <br />6. 8:00 pm Adjournment <br />
