Background <br />Parks Commission Meeting of August 12, 2015 <br />Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br />7:00 orn approve Minutes from June 10 ?015 Meeting <br />Staff recommends approval of the minutes of the Parks Commission meeting of June 10, 2015. <br />Please see the attached minutes. <br />7:05 pm Cleannlater Cove Park Dedication Proposal <br />At the meeting of May 13, 2015, the Parks Commission reviewed a concept plan for Clearwater <br />Cove from D.R. Horton. The plan included 89 residential lots. The developer is proposing to <br />construct significant trail connections and sidewalks throughout the development. The <br />developer is also proposing to build a neighborhood park consisting of a play structure and park <br />shelter which would be donated to the City. A proposal has been made to pay full park <br />dedication fees in the amount of $213,600 at the current rate of $2,400 per unit for the 89 unit <br />development. Staff recommends that the Parks Commission approve the park dedication <br />proposal for Clearwater Cove. <br />Please see the attached memo. <br />7:30 prn Irish Avenue Park Neighborhood Meeting <br />At the meeting of June 10, 2015, the Parks Commission heard a proposal from Steve Hanke <br />volunteering to build a radio controlled car and truck track at Irish Avenue Park. The Parks <br />Commission approved the proposal and offered city support for the initial groundwork and <br />plastic tubing. Volunteers have begun work on the track. There have been resident complaints <br />and resident support of the track. A letter was sent to the property owners adjacent to the park <br />inviting them to share their input at this meeting. Staff recommends that a neighborhood <br />meeting be held to discuss the track. Further direction could be given to the RC Car Track <br />volunteer group. <br />Please see the attached memo. <br />8:30 pm Update on Recreation Programs <br />Shayla Denaway will provide an update on upcoming recreation programs, including: <br />Nature Camp: August 10-14 <br />Tour de Hugo: September 12 <br />Movie Night: September 18 <br />8:45 pm Adjournment <br />
