divide the road and sidewalk construction, the north end construction, and the south end <br />construction into different phases; with the scope of each phase being dependent on the <br />funds available. The importance of getting the community excited about the changes <br />that will be taking place at Lions Park was also emphasized. <br />The Parks Commission directed staff to research the steps involved in having a booth at <br />Good Neighbor Days that would showcase the new park design and to share those <br />findings at the next Parks Commission meeting on May 13, 2015. <br />VI. Forest Lake YMCA Board of Directors <br />At the April 6, 2015 City Council meeting staff shared with the City Council that the <br />Forest Lake YMCA has contacted the City and is seeking a representative from each of <br />the surrounding communities to become a member on the Forest Lake YMCA Board of <br />Directors. The City Council directed staff to see if a Parks Commissioner was interested <br />in serving on the board. <br />Morris expressed interest in serving on the Forest Lake YMCA Board of Directors. <br />The Parks Commission directed staff to consider Morris for the position and to also give <br />the remaining Commissioners until April 14, 2015 to express interest. <br />VII. Hardwood Creek Trail Grand Opening <br />Parks Planner, Shayla Denaway shared with the Commissioners that staff has recently <br />been notified that Washington County has scheduled a Grand Opening for the <br />Hardwood Creek Trail on May 14, 2015. Denaway will provide more details to the <br />Commissioners as they become available. <br />VIII.
