Minutes <br /> Par<s, Recreation, anc Open Space Commission <br /> Meeting of August 10, 2016 <br /> Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br /> Present: Cathy Moore-Arcand,John Pontrelli, Nicole Schmid, Dave Strub, Ranell Tennyson,Tom Windisch <br /> Absent: Mat Rauschendorfer <br /> Staff Present: Scott Anderson, Public Works Director <br /> Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner <br /> Jay Kennedy,City Engineer <br /> Windisch called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br /> 1. Approval of Minutes from July Meeting <br /> Strub made a motion, Pontrelli seconded to approve the minutes of the July 13, 2016 Parks Commission <br /> meeting as presented. <br /> Aye—Moore-Arcand, Pontrelli, Schmid,Strub,Tennyson <br /> Abstained—Windisch <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Parks Planner, Shayla Denaway shared with the Commission that City Engineer,Jay Kennedy from'A'SB and <br /> his associate, Bailey Krause,were here to present a draft of the Lions Park feasibility study, including possible <br /> phasing options. Funding for the feasibility study was approved at the May 2, 2016 City Council meeting. A <br /> joint workshop was held between the City Council and the Parks Commission on April 28, 2016 where topics <br /> discussed included the master plan,vision, infrastructure options, and financing options for Lions Park. <br /> City Engineer,Jay Kennedy informed the Commission that the feasibility study would look at three main <br /> aspects regarding the construction of Lions Park;the phasing of improvements,the financing options, and <br /> the design process. He explained that his presentation would focus on possible phasing options for Lions <br /> Park that look into consideration completing the improvements over time, combining phases,flexibility with <br /> adjacent developments, and the ability to manage finances. <br /> Page 1of3 <br /> Parks Commission Minutes <br /> August 10,2016 <br />
