Options for the property include; continuing with maintenance and public use as is, acquiring all <br /> the rights to the property then selling it,vacating the property, or making significant changes to the property. <br /> At the meeting the Commission directed Staff to clear out and clean up the property and to continue to <br /> research options to sell the property. Denaway informed the Commission that the property has been <br /> cleaned up and that Staff is continuing to research options for selling the property. Denaway asked for <br /> direction from the Commission since the process of acquiring the rights to the property, in order to sell it,will <br /> involve full commitment and additional costs. The Parks Commission recommended that a neighborhood <br /> meeting be scheduled to hear the views and opinions of the neighborhood and to see what their visions are <br /> for the property. <br /> 5. McCollar Park Grand Opening <br /> Parks Planner, Shayla Denaway added to the agenda a reminder for the Commission of the Grand Opening at <br /> McCollar Park scheduled for Saturday, September 10,2016 at 10:00 am. <br /> Commissioner Tennyson added to the agenda an update on the Forest Lake YMCA. She attended her first <br /> official board meeting last month. The Forest Lake YMCA reported that attendance is more than double what <br /> was projected and that they are short staffed at the present time, but overall things are running smoothly. <br /> 7. Adjournment <br /> Schmid made a motion, Windisch seconded to adjourn the meeting at 8:11 pm. <br /> All Ayes.
