BACKGROUND MEMO FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2016 <br />D.1 Approval of the Minutes for the November 7, 2016 Council Meeting <br />D.2 Approval of the Minutes for the November 11, 2016 Park Dental Open House <br />D.3 Approval of the Minutes for the November 14, 2016 Credentialim and Board of Canvass <br />Staff recommends Council approve the above minutes as presented. <br />F.1 Updated on Cub Scouts Pack 151 Storm Drain Proiect <br />At its September 19, 2016 meeting, the Council listened to a presentation by Scoutmaster Mark <br />Viker and members of Cub Scout Pack 151 on a proposed service project to stencil storm drains <br />to alert people that the water going into the drains ends up in the waterways. The project has <br />been completed, and Cub Scout Pack 151, Webelos Den 3 to provide an update to the Council <br />F.2 Update on Hugo Snowmobile Trails and Approval of Trail Applications for the <br />Washington County Star Trail Association Hugo Chapter and the Rice Creek Trail <br />Association <br />Each year, the Washington County Star Trail Association and the Rice Creek Trail Association <br />submit their applications to the City for the purpose of providing public recreational snowmobile <br />trails during the winter. Washington County Star Trail Association -Hugo Chapter President <br />John Udstuen will update the Council on recent improvements to the snowmobile trails in Hugo. <br />Staff recommends Council approve the 2016-2017 trail applications for the Washington County <br />Star Trail Association Hugo Chapter and the Rice Creek Trail Association. <br />F.3 Introduction of New Washington County Deputy <br />Washington County Deputy Mike Petrey has been promoted to Sergeant and Scott Zitloff has <br />moved to the Water, Parks and Trails Division. Deputy David Sawacke and Deputy Josh <br />Liebenow will be replacing Mike and Scott. Sergeant Wayne Johnson will be present to <br />introduce the new deputies. <br />FA Recognition of WSB City Engineer Jay Kennedy <br />WSB City Engineer Jay Kennedy is leaving Minnesota and opening a WSB Engineering Branch <br />in Austin, TX. Jay has been with the City of Hugo since 2003 providing engineering services <br />and guiding the City of Hugo in many projects. Staff has prepared a Certificate of Appreciation <br />for Council to present. Washington County Commissioner Fran Miron will also be in attendance <br />to present the Commissioner's Certificate of Appreciation to Jay. <br />G. 1 Approval of Claims <br />City staff recommends Council approve the Claims Roster as presented. <br />
