Staff recommends Council recognize Wayne for his years <br />of dedicated service to the City of Hugo. <br />G. 1 Approval of Claims <br />Staff recommends Council approve the Claims Roster as presented. <br />G. 2. Approve Performance Review for Building Department Secretary Debi Close <br />Debi Close was hired as the City's Building Department Receptionist on March 20, 2006. For <br />the past eleven years, Debi has performed customer service duties both at the front counter and <br />on the telephone scheduling inspections with contractors. Debi also works as the secretary to the <br />Parks and Recreation Commission. Staff recommends Council approve the annual performance <br />review for Building Department Receptionist Debi Close. <br />G.3 Approve Special Event Permit for the MS 150 on Sunday, June 11, 2017 <br />The MS Society has applied for a Special Event Permit for their annual bike event. This requires <br />a permit because there will be between 3,500-4,000 riders, and trails and streets in Hugo will be <br />used. This event is a 150 mile two-day ride from Duluth to White Bear Lake. The second day of <br />the event, riders will be traveling through Hugo on the Hardwood Creek Trail and the shoulder <br />of TH61 between 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. MS Society has provided the City the completed <br />application, permit fee, hold harmless agreement, and insurance naming the City as additionally <br />insured. In addition, prior to the event the applicant will provide the city copies of the approved <br />permit from Washington County for the use of the Hardwood Creek Trail and from MnDOT for <br />the use of the shoulder on TH61. Staff recommends Council approve the Special Event Permit <br />for the MS 150 bike event to be held on Sunday, June 11, 2017 <br />GA Approve Creation of Pool Ordinance by the Ordinance Review Committee <br />City staff have been receiving many inquiries regarding Hugo's pool requirements. The City <br />does not have an official ordinance related to these requirements and staff believes that one <br />should be drafted. Special provisions will surround setbacks, impervious surface, and location of <br />
