Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for February 6, 2017 <br />Page 2 of 7 <br />Development and along Rosemary Way. McCollar Park was added to Hugo's park system, and <br />Cove Park will be constructed as part of the Clearwater Cove Development. In 2016, the <br />Council also supported US Bike Route 41, which is now formally named the North Star Trail. <br />The Parks Commission's next focus area is Lions Park, and a feasibility study is being <br />conducted, and a phasing plan being drafted. Visioning for Irish Avenue Park had been <br />discussed, but it is not top on their priority list. In 2016, the Commission addressed a resident's <br />complaint regarding activities on the City owned property on Goodview Avenue, and the <br />Commission continues to work with them. The needs of seniors had been evaluated, survey <br />completed, and a community forum scheduled. Shayla recognized Hugo's recreational <br />partnerships and several recreational events. <br />Petryk talked about the Hopkins school house and wondered if there were funds for this. Klein <br />said the building was in such disrepair it may be cheaper to destroy the building and reconstruct <br />it. Haas talked about the property on which the building stands and its connection to the regional <br />trail. He questioned if it would be eligible for regional trail funding through the Washington <br />County Trail System. <br />Approval of the Consent Agenda <br />Klein made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda items. <br />Approval of Claims <br />2. Approve Resolution on Statutory Tort Liability Limits <br />9. Approve Agreement for Law Enforcement Services with Washington County <br />10. Approve Award of Quote for 147th Street Sidewalk Improvement Project <br />11. Approve Resignation of Firefighters John Brockberg and Denise Jones <br />12. Approve Resolution Approving the Pursuance of Agreement with MnDOT for <br />Improvements to TH61/170th Street Roundabout Landscaping <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approval of Claims <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Claims Roster as presented. <br />
