Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for March 6, 2017 <br />Page 6 of 6 <br />There was discussion on whether to schedule another Water Summit. Erin explained that the last <br />Summit was held on August 25, 2016, and she outlined several ongoing regional water related <br />issues. <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to directed staff to propose a date on which to schedule <br />another Water Summit. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Update on the Yellow Ribbon Network <br />Council Members Phil Klein and Chuck Haas reported to Council on the Yellow Ribbon <br />Network activities held recently. The YRN received "Thank Yous" for the care packages sent to <br />Egypt and Afghanistan. Care packages were also sent to Fort Cambell, KY. The YRN fulfilled <br />a request from the Washington County Sheriff's Office to send packages to a deployed co- <br />worker in Kuwait and to the National Guard for marriage bond retreats this summer. Details for <br />the next youth hunt on April 9 at Wild Wings will be finalized. Girl Scout cookies will be <br />collected and sent overseas. The Hugo Lions Club had donated $250 in cookies. The YRN had <br />donated $500 to support Operation Valentine in February and donated costs for a solider to travel <br />home to see his newborn son. The YRN assisted a family with home repairs and worked with <br />Lenox to help several families who needed new furnaces. At the request of the Army Survivor <br />Outreach Service, the YRN helped with travel costs for a veteran who was suffering from Agent <br />Orange to travel to Rochester Mayo Clinic for a second opinion. March Burger Night will be <br />sponsored by the Arcand Family/Oneka Ridge Golf Course on March 22. The YRN is still <br />looking for Burger Night Sponsors for July and September. <br />Hugo Good Neighbors Food Shelf Pasta Dinner on Saturday, April 8, 2017 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council the Hugo Good Neighbors Food Shelf will <br />hold their 4th Annual Pasta Dinner to raise funds for their new building on April 8, 2017 from 6-9 <br />p.m. at the Hugo American Legion. <br />Petryk made motion, Miron seconded, to schedule meeting to attend the Hugo Good Neighbors <br />Pasta Dinner on April 8, 2017 <br />All Ayes.
