K.3 Approve Resolution for Preliminary Plat and Planned Unit Development (PUD) for <br />Adelaide Landing <br />The Excelsior Group, LLC, is requesting approval of a Preliminary Plat and Planned Unit <br />Development (PUD) for a residential development. The property totals 216.6 acres and is <br />comprised of seven parcels. The preliminary plat includes 319 single family residential lots and <br />10 outlots to be known as "Adelaide Landing". The PUD General Plan proposed to be rezoned <br />from Single Family Detached Residential (R-3) to Planned Unit Development (PUD). The <br />property includes wetlands and floodplain for a total buildable acreage of 146.2 acres. At its <br />March 23, 2017, meeting the Planning Commission considered and held a public hearing on the <br />request. Staff recommends approval of the preliminary plat and PUD. The Planning Commission <br />made a recommendation to the City Council to approve the resolution for the preliminary plat and <br />PUD, including two additional conditions. <br />K.1 Update on the Yellow Ribbon Network <br />Council Members Chuck Haas and Phil Klein will update the Council on the activities of the <br />Yellow Ribbon Network to date. <br />N.1 Severe Weather Awareness Week April 17-21 and Tornado Drill on April 20, 2017 <br />Each year, Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM) in collaboration with the <br />National Weather Service sponsor Severe Weather Awareness Week in Minnesota. The week is <br />designed to refresh, remind and educate everyone about the seasonal threats from severe weather <br />and how to avoid them. The most important events during Severe Weather Awareness Week are <br />the two annual statewide tornado drills. These drills are scheduled for Thursday, April 20 2017 at <br />1:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Outdoor warning sirens and NOAA Weather Radios will sound in a <br />simulated tornado warning. The first drill is intended for institutions and businesses. The evening <br />drill is intended for second shift workers and families. <br />N.2 Comprehensive Plan Open House Workshop on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 <br />An open house/workshop has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 7 p.m. in the <br />Oneka Room at Hugo City Hall to talk about visioning for the 2040 Comprehensive Plan update. <br />This has been scheduled as a meeting of the Council. <br />N.3 Spring Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 22, 2017 <br />The City of Hugo will hold its annual Spring Cleanup event on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the <br />Hugo Public Works Department from 8 a.m. to noon. A list of accepted items and pricing can be <br />found on the City's website. <br />NA Habitat for Humanity Home Dedication Saturday, April 22, 2017 <br />Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity will hold a dedication for four new homes on Saturday, April <br />22, 2017 at 10 a.m. at 14932 Generation Avenue North. The Council has scheduled this as a <br />meeting. <br />
