Jerome, Stella and Teo Bosc
5535, 137th Street N HUGO, MN 55038
3/23/2017
Mr. Bryan Bear
City Administrator
Hugo City Hall
14669 Fitzgerald Ave. N. Hugo MN 55038
Subjet: Adelaide Landing EAW Comments
Dear Mr. Bryan Bear:
Following the EAW survey for the Adelaide landing and the public hearing from 3/23/2017, we have
some comments that we would like to share.
Our property will be adjacent to the single-family townhomes and we will have 4 of those townhomes
along our property and very close to our house. Our main concern is the separation with those
townhomes, but also the architectural continuity to avoid too much of a differentiation between the older
and newer homes. Other annex subjects
1) Separation:
Due to having up to 4 townhomes in front of our house, we want to make sure there is enough
clearance with those townhomes, maybe by having them pushed as much as possible towards the
road, minimizing their front yard.
Also, we would like to know exactly which types of trees and how big they will be when planted
and their location to make sure they cover properly and enough the direct view.
In front of our dining room windows, we have some mature trees, that we would ideally welcome
to be remaining. Part of it will need to be removed to open the road, however, the part on our
property line might be able to stay. We would consider purchasing this part if possible, extending
our lot by a few feet to increase the spacing with the new townhomes. We would actually be very
interested in looking into that option, even if a tree line or other type of separation would still
need to be applied.
A detailed "close-up" of the landscape and installation next to our property line would be nice to
get, including knowing exactly where this property line is.
