Tim will be in attendance to introduce himself and provide information on <br />upcoming events. <br />F.2 Presentation of GFOA Award for Excellence in Financial Reporting - Finance Director <br />Ron Otkin and Accounting Clerk Anna Wobse <br />Finance Director Ron Otkin has received notification from the Government Finance Officers <br />Association of the United States and Canada that the Hugo Finance Department has received their <br />23rd Certificate of Achievement for excellence in financial reporting. As Council is aware, this <br />certificate is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, <br />and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. <br />G.1 Approval of Claims <br />Staff recommends Council approve the Claims Roster as presented. <br />G.2 A1111rove Annual Performance Review for Parks Planner Shayla Denaway <br />On May 11, 2009, the City Council approved the hiring of Shayla Denaway as the Economic <br />Development/Parks Intern, and on May 3, 2010, Council approved promoting Shayla as the new <br />Parks Planner. Public Works Director Scott Anderson recommends approval of the annual <br />performance review for Parks Planner Shayla Denaway. <br />G.3 Approve Special Event Permit for Blue Heron Grill Tent Party on June 23-24, 2017 <br />The Blue Heron, 14725 Victor Hugo Boulevard, has applied for a Special Event Permit for their <br />annual outdoor tent party to be held on Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24. A Special Event <br />Permit approved by Council is necessary because alcohol will be sold outdoors, over 200 people <br />are expected to attend, it will extend after dark, and there will be amplified music. Staff has <br />worked with the applicant on the details of the event and recommends Council approve the <br />Special Event Permit for the Blue Heron Grill Tent Party subject to the conditions in the permit. <br />
