MINUTES <br /> HUGO BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENTS <br /> AUGUST 23, 2000 <br /> Stoltzman called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> PRESENT: Stoltzman, Puleo <br /> Community Development Director, John Rask <br /> Deputy Clerk, Michele Lindau <br /> ABSENT: Brunette <br /> Minutes of June 28, 2000 <br /> Stoltzman made motion, Puleo seconded, to approve the Board of Zoning Adjustment minutes for June 28, 2000 <br /> as submitted. <br /> All ayes. Motion carried. <br /> Minutes of July 26, 2000 <br /> Stoltzman made motion, Puleo seconded, to approve the Board of Zoning Adjustment minutes for July 26, 2000 <br /> as submitted. <br /> All ayes. Motion carried. <br /> Variance (Robinette) <br /> On July 26, 2000, the Board of Zoning Adjustments held a public hearing on the application of Thomas <br /> Robinette, 6178 Oneka Lake Boulevard, for three separate variances for the construction of a deck and garage. <br /> The request was tabled until this meeting to allow staff an opportunity to review development approvals for <br /> Oneka Lake view to determine if there were specific conditions relating to the single family home. On August <br /> 22, 2000, the City received a letter from Thomas L. Owens, attorney representing Mr. Robinette, requesting the <br /> Board of Zoning Adjustments table the request until September 27, 2000. <br /> Stoltzman made motion, Puleo seconded, to table the variance request for Thomas Robinette until the Board of <br /> Zoning Adjustments meeting on September 27, 2000. <br /> All ayes. Motion carried. <br /> Variance (Olson) <br /> A public hearing was held to consider the request of John and Mary Olson, 7097 177"' St. N., for a variance for <br /> a 30-foot setback from the side lot line where a 40-foot setback is required by ordinance. The Olsons wish to <br /> construct a new garage where the existing garage is located, and it would be no closer to the lot line than the <br /> existing agricultural barn that is also located on the property. <br /> The Community Development Director reviewed his staff report with the Board, stating the request met all the <br /> standards necessary for the City to approve a variance <br />
