Planning Comrnission Meeting November 14,2002 -page 3 <br /> Al Parent Construction Variance <br /> The Board considered the request of Al Parent Construction and Bob and Diane <br /> Dufresne, 12844 Greystone Avenue North, for a variance to allow construction of <br /> a 40' X 42' attached garage. The attached garage would be 1,455 square feet. <br /> The zoning ordinance limits the size of an attached garage to 1,000 feet. The <br /> parcel is 3.2 acres in size and located in the Hidden Hills subdivision. <br /> Staff found that the applicant designed the garage as a standard three-car garage <br /> with an upper level to be used as part of the home. Staff also indicated that <br /> dormers and a porch in front of the garage and continuing along the front of the <br /> home facing Greystone Avenue would give the garage the appearance of being an <br /> extension of the home; therefore, the garage would not dominate the appearance <br /> of the home. <br /> Puleo made motion, Schumann seconded, to recommend approval of the variance <br /> for Al Parent Construction and Bob and Diane Dufresne. <br /> All Ayes.
