Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for July 5, 2017 <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />hold their annual picnic at the Hanifl Fields and Shelter on Saturday, August 12, 2017. <br />Approve Temporary Liquor License to Hugo Lions Club for the Wilson Tool Employee <br />Picnic on Saturday, August 12, 2017 <br />As in past years, the Hugo Lions Club had applied for a Temporary Liquor License to serve <br />alcohol at the annual Wilson Tool picnic to be held at the Hanifl Shelter and Fields. The Lions <br />Club had provided a Certificate of Liquor Liability Insurance, and Wilson Tool has secured two <br />Washington County deputies to be on site during the event. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />approved the Temporary Liquor License for the Wilson Tool picnic on August 12, 2017. <br />Approve Temporary Liquor License to Hugo Lions Club for the Tough Mudder on July <br />14-16,2017 <br />The Hugo Lions Club had applied for a Temporary Liquor License to serve beer at the Tough <br />Mudder event to be held at Wild Wings Game Farm on July 14-16, 2017. The Lions Club had <br />provided a Certificate of Liquor Liability Insurance, and Tough Mudder had secured Washington <br />County deputies to be on site during the event. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the <br />Temporary Liquor License for the Tough Mudder event on July 14-16, 2017. <br />Approve Resolution Adopting the MN General Records Retention Schedule <br />The City General Records Retention Schedule establishes minimum retention periods for city <br />records based on their administrative, fiscal, legal and historical value. The State Disposition <br />Panel (State Auditor, Office of Attorney General and State Archivist) recently approved the <br />revised General Records Retention Schedule for MN Cities in April 2017. The City last adopted <br />the Records Retention Schedule as part of the City's Data Practices Policy in 2008. Adoption of <br />the Consent Agenda approved RESOLUTION 2017-22 ADOPTING THE MINNESOTA <br />GENERAL RECORDS RETENTION SCHEDULE FOR CITY OF HUGO, WASHINGTON <br />COUNTY, MINNESOTA. <br />Approve Hiring of Dan Determan as a Probationary Firefthter on the Hugo Fire <br />Department <br />Fire Chief Kevin Colvard had requested Dan Determan to be hired as a probationary firefighter <br />on the Hugo Fire Department. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the appointment of <br />Dan Determan as a probationary firefighter pending the successful completion of a medical <br />evaluation. <br />Approve Hiring of Consultant to Provide Specifications for Fire Department Roof and <br />Rooftop Units <br />Staff had been working with the Fire Department on evaluation of the department's building roof <br />and rooftop mechanical equipment, which has surpassed its serviceable life. To begin the process <br />of replacement, it was necessary to hire a contractor to develop the plans and specs for the <br />project. The City will then go through the competitive bidding process. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved the hiring of a contractor to prepare the plans and specs for the <br />replacement of the Fire Hall roof and rooftop mechanical equipment. <br />
