Ms. Rachel Juba
August 2, 2017
Page 2
6. The remaining 0.73 acres of impervious area will be treated with the construction of a new
pretreatment and infiltration basin located in the northwest portion of the site. Staff will continue to
work with the applicant on the size and location of the stormwater facilities on site and determine if it
makes sense to expand the existing basin rather than creating an additional basin.
7. The site is within the drainage area of the Bald Eagle Industrial Park pond project completed when
the Industrial Park was developed. As a result, a portion of the rate control and treatment
requirements are met. The RCWD rules have changed since the Industrial Park was developed, and
the volume reduction requirement will still apply to this site, as well as providing storage for larger
storm events.
8. The proposed infiltration basin should be able to contain the 100 -year storm event without
overtopping the overflow spillway. A storm sewer outlet should be provided to avoid erosion at the
overflow. Please modify the basin according to the notes provided on the attached redlined site plan.
Wetlands
9. No wetland impacts are proposed as part of the Phase 4 improvements.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide comments on this project.
