BACKGROUND MEMO FOR THE EDA MEETING OF MONDAY, MARCH 17, 2008 3. Approval of Minutes for EDA meeting of February 19, 2008 City staff recommends that the EDA approve the minutes for the February 19, 2008 EDA meeting as presented. 4. Discussion on Frenchman Centre Redevelopment Project Site Plan and TIF Application Staff has received a site plan application for the redevelopment of the "End Zone" property. The plan includes a 23,000 square foot retail building with 12 units to be leased. The EDA was presented with the concept plan for this project at their October meeting, and provided comments to the developer. The redevelopment site plan is basically the same from when the EDA saw it in October. Some details that have changed on the plan are: the drive through has been removed, the plaza area in front is a little smaller, and the developer now has elevations for the EDA to review. The developer has also applied for Tax Increment Financing for the redevelopment project. Staff will give a short presentation on the project and TIF application. Staff recommends that the EDA provide the developer with informal comments on the project and TIF request. 5. Update on Downtown Redevelopment Staff will update the EDA on the progress with downtown redevelopment projects. 6. Update on 2008 Comprehensive Plan Staff will update the EDA on the 2008 Comprehensive Plan. 7. Update on 2008 Hugo Kidz n' Biz Fest—April 6th On April 6th, 2008, the 4th annual Kidz `n Biz Fest will take place at the Oneka Elementary School. Staff will update the EDA on the progress of events that will occur at Kids n' Biz Fest.
