MINUTES FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON MONDAY, AUGUST 21, 201 <br /> Call to Order <br /> Mayor Weidt called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> PRESENT: Haas, Klein, Miron, Petryk, Weidt <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Bryan Bear, City Attorney Dave Snyder, City Engineer <br /> Mark Erichson, and City Clerk Michele Lindau <br /> Approval of the Minutes for the August 7, 2017 Council Meeting <br /> Klein made motion, Miron seconded, to approve the minutes for the August 7, 2017, City <br /> Council meeting as presented. <br /> All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> August 8, 2017 Comprehensive Plan Workshop <br /> Petryk made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the minutes for the Comprehensive Plan <br /> Workshop held on August 8, 2017, as presented. <br /> All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> August 11, 2017 Meeting with Metropolitan Council Chair <br /> Haas made motion, Miron seconded, to approve the minutes for the meeting on August 11, 2017, <br /> with the newly appointed Metropolitan Chair Alene Tchourumoff as presented. <br /> All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> Approval of the Agenda <br /> Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> Hugo Good Neighbors Food Shelf Update—HGNFS President Chris DeFresne <br /> Hugo Good Neighbors Food Shelf President Chris DeFresne provided Council an update on the <br /> food shelf. In 2016, an average of 177 families were served each month, and over over 145,000 <br /> pounds of food distributed. Over half of the food is purchased primarily through Second Harvest <br /> and The Food Group. The other half is donated mostly by local grocery stores, including <br /> Festival and Qwik Trip, and donations are received through food drives. Revenue has remained <br /> basically the same since 2015 at $89,619, and expenses increased slightly to a pay a part time <br />
