b <br /> Purpose <br /> To position the Hugo area as the premier horse friendly community in the Twin Cities <br /> metropolitan area. <br /> We are appointed commissioners on the City of Hugo Economic Development <br /> Authority . We advise the City on how to create,build and improve Hugo area <br /> businesses. <br /> Frank Puleo is a successful breeder of Arabian horses and a long- time Hugo <br /> businessperson and Hugo resident. He is a is a former Hugo City Council member and <br /> the Planning Commission member. Frank served as a vice president and board member <br /> for the Minnesota Arabian Breeder's Association. <br /> Mike Graff is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He and his family have lived in <br /> Hugo since 1979. Mike is a retired 3Mer and spent 35 years as a sales/marketing <br /> executive. <br /> Goals to accomplish in 2012 <br /> 1. To have(xxx#) attendees at the September Hugo Area Horse Event. The <br /> weekend event will include a Parade of Stables, two days of educational events, <br /> vendor exhibits and horse demonstrations by breed or activity. <br /> 2. To conduct (x#) Saturday morning horse showings from April to August at Hugo <br /> Area shopping center parking lots, Hugo area businesses, and city and county <br /> parks to promote the September event. The theme will be trained kids, <br /> demonstrating what they have learned about horses. <br /> 3. To create(x#) articles about the Hugo Area horse stables, success stories about <br /> local children and women that are involved with horses, all published in the Hugo <br /> Area newspapers. <br /> 4. To visit (x#)pre-schools in the Hugo area to talk to kids about the dos and don'ts <br /> when they are around horses and the easy access to lessons and training. Each <br /> student gets a brochure to take home. <br /> 5. To conduct(x #) of elementary school visits to Hugo area stables. <br /> 6. To raise funds via corporate sponsorships to have the marketing budget to create <br /> collateral material, newspaper advertisements, radio spots and a web presence to <br /> promote the September event. <br /> i <br /> 1 <br />
