Target Audience and Event Format <br /> Our tactics are to develop a laser focus on the Hugo area resident that is not a horse <br /> enthusiast today, over age 40 women that were involved with horses as kids, and <br /> grandparent's of young children(6-14 years old). <br /> Events—September 2012 Hugo Area Horse Event (two days) <br /> • The event will market Hugo Area Stables. A formal Parade of Stables will <br /> host attendees at the stables. We will have a staging area at Dead Broke Arena <br /> for the tours. <br /> • Hugo Area Breeder's, and Hugo Area Horse related business units will <br /> provide exhibits and events at the Dead Broke Arena. <br /> • Basic training will targets kids on the couch playing video games. We will <br /> conduct a horse boot camp to teach kids how to behave around a horse, teach <br /> them the work that goes into feeding, watering and cleaning up a stable. <br /> • Advanced training for women over age 40 that were horse enthusiasts as <br /> children. For example, free rides in front of their children. Overview of typical <br /> training costs, rental fees, trails use, etc. <br /> • Grandparent's tent with seating that allows stable owners to discuss, the <br /> training available for young children (availability, costs and outcomes). <br /> • Free(or nominal cost) photographs of grandkids on horseback with the <br /> grandparents next to the horse. <br /> Footnote <br /> The goal of the Hugo Economic Development Authority is to create a unified <br /> community with diverse job and tax bases,brought about by specific emphasis on <br /> business retention,business expansion, and business attraction.
