Motion carried. <br /> Update on the Local Water Planning Review—John Waller <br /> John Waller asked to be added to the agenda to speak about the Rice Creek Watershed District <br /> and the City's water plan. He was there to encourage the completion of the local water planning <br /> process. He also talked about money the Watershed District collects from the City, and said <br /> Hugo should be aggressive in asking for money. He also talked about methods for the cleaning <br /> of stormwater ponds. <br /> City Engineer Mark Ericson stated they have the draft plan submitted to the RCWD, and City <br /> Administrator Bryan Bear added that the City has applied for a grant for $50,000 for the partial <br /> purchase of a Vactor truck. <br /> Yellow Ribbon Network Report <br /> Council Member Phil Klein reported to Council on the recent activities of the Yellow Ribbon <br /> Network. Klein reminded everyone that the next Burger Night will be held on Wednesday, <br /> September 27, 2017 at the Hugo American Legion. <br /> Local Meetings Re2ardin2 Water Use <br /> City Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council that staff had been made aware of several <br /> upcoming meetings regarding water use. He noted there was discussion at the last Council <br /> meeting on scheduling another water summit. He presented a map that illustrated the five-mile <br /> radius around the lake (identified in the White Bear Lake Order), showing that many of the <br /> communities that were part of the water summit group were not included in this area. Klein <br /> asked if other communities were still interested in meeting. Bear indicated they were, but not at <br /> this time. <br /> Petryk made motion, Weidt seconded, to schedule a meeting to attend the Thursday, October 5, <br /> 2017 meeting with the Environmental Quality Board at the Stillwater High School from 6:30— <br /> 8:30 p.m. <br /> All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> Tour de' Hugo on Saturday, September 23, 2017 <br /> City Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council that the 7th annual Tour de Hugo Community <br /> Bike Ride will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 starting at Lions Park.
