BACKGROUND MEMO FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON JUNE 4, 2018 <br />DA Approval of Minutes for May 21, 2018 Council Meeting <br />Staff recommends Council approve the minutes as presented. <br />G.1 Approval of Claims <br />Staff recommends Council approve the Claims Roster as presented. <br />G.2 Approve Annual Performance Review for Utility Billing Clerk Jodie Guareschi <br />Since June 17, 2002, Jodie has worked as the City's Utility Billing Clerk in the Finance <br />Department. Jodie also works as a member of the Hugo Fire Department as a firefighter/EMS <br />responder. Finance Coordinator Anna Wobse recommends Council approve the annual <br />performance review for Utility Billing Clerk Jodie Guareschi. <br />G.3 Approve Annual Performance Review for Public Works Worker Tom Smith <br />Tom Smith was hired by the City of Hugo on June 26, 2000 as a Worker in Public Works <br />Department. Public Works Director Scott Anderson recommends Council approve the annual <br />performance review for Public Works Worker Tom Smith. <br />GA Approve Hiring of Pierre Giguere as Community Development Intern <br />On May 16, 2018, staff interviewed six applicants for the Community Development Intern <br />position. The position will assist the Community Development Department on a wide variety of <br />planning and zoning related items over a six month period. The position will also coordinate with <br />other departments as needed. Staff recommends approval of the hiring of Pierre Giguere as the <br />Community Development Intern. <br />G.5 Approve Pay Request No.1 to Diverse Construction Services for Fire Hall Roof <br />The City has received Pay Request No. 1 for work completed to date on the Fire Hall roof. <br />Staff recommends Council approve the Pay Request to Diverse Construction in the amount of <br />$63,620.06. <br />G.6 Approve Resignation of Adam Sauerwein from the Fire Department <br />Adam Sauerwein has submitted his resignation from the Hugo Fire Department due to his <br />relocation outside of Hugo. Fire Chief Kevin Colvard recommends Council approve the <br />resignation of Adam Sauerwein. <br />G.7 Approve Wetland Replacement Plan for Oneka Place Residential Development <br />Len Pratt (CPDC Pratt Oakwood LLP.) is proposing to develop the 120-acre parcel formerly <br />known as the LeRoux Parcel to include 177 single family homes. The development will be <br />known as Oneka Place. To accommodate this development, the applicant is proposing to impact <br />0.91 acres of wetland. The remaining wetland on the property is not proposed to be impacted and <br />
