Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for July 16, 2018 <br />Page 3 of 7 <br />Approve Claims Roster <br />Staff recommends Council approve the Claims Roster as presented. <br />Approve Resolution Appointing Election Judges for 2018 Primary and General Election <br />Hugo City Clerk Michele Lindau requested to appoint 37 individuals to serve as election judges <br />for the City of Hugo's Primary and General Elections in 2018. All election judges would receive <br />two hours of training, and many of the judges have served in several past elections. Adoption of <br />the Consent Agenda approved RESOLUTION 2018-21 APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES <br />FOR PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTIONS IN THE YEAR 2018. $Q <br />Approve Renewal of Mining Permit for Mike Atkinson <br />The Mining Permit for Mike Atkinson on his property located on the south side of 147th Street <br />between Irish and Hyde Avenue expires on August 1, 2018. Atkinson applied to renew the <br />permit for another two years. For the past several years, the site had been used to stockpile <br />material, with no mining activity taking place. When the permit was renewed in 2012, the <br />Council allowed Atkinson to move forward with the Mining Permit renewal process without all <br />the conditions being met until the time mining operations begin again, due to the cost of meeting <br />those conditions. The requirements not being met are to biannually provide a topographic map <br />of the site, calculation of stockpiled material and amount of granular material left on site to be <br />mined, and a reclamation plan. Staff visited the site on July 11, 2018, and found there had been <br />no changes on the property. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Mining Permit for <br />Mike Atkinson for property located on 147th Street North with the condition that all requirements <br />in the permit be met when/if mining activity began again. <br />Approve Renewal of Electrical Inspection Service Agreement for Brian Nelson Inspection <br />Services, Inc. <br />The City has contracted with Brian Nelson Inspection Services, Inc. to perform electrical <br />inspections in the City. His current contract stated he is paid 70% of the permit fees collected for <br />completed inspections. Brian had requested the contract be amended by increasing it to 75%, <br />which is equal to the state's percentage. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the amended <br />Electrical Inspection Services Agreement with Brian Nelson Inspection Services, Inc. <br />Approve Temporary Liquor License for Hugo Lions Club for Wilson Tool Picnic on <br />August 11, 2018 <br />The Hugo Lions Club had submitted an application for a Temporary Liquor License to serve <br />alcohol at the Wilson Tool picnic on Saturday, August 11, 2018. The picnic will be held at the <br />Hanifl Fields. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Temporary Liquor License for the <br />Hugo Lions Club. <br />Approve Reduction in the Letter of Credit for Everton Investment/Pratt Homes Fable Hills <br />5th Addition <br />Elmcrest Investment / Pratt Homes Fable Hills 5th Addition, the developer, had requested the <br />City reduce the letter of credit being held for the Fable Hills 5th Addition. Steve Duff had <br />inspected the work and recommended the reduction of the letter of credit being held for the <br />
