Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for September 4, 2018 <br />Page 4 of 5 <br />Yellow Ribbon Network activities held recently. In the past two weeks, the YRN has received <br />five requests from military families for assistance including plumbing and HVAC repairs and <br />connecting to the County Veterans Service Office. They YRN continues to receive "Thank <br />you" cards from those receiving care packages, including the 147th Human Resource Company <br />who are doing medical support work at a hospital. Haas thanked Council Member Miron for <br />working with an enlisted member on a veteran's Day presentation. The YRN was requesting <br />greeting cards be donated for the military to use. Volunteers are needed for the September 20th <br />Serving Our Troops Dinner for troops going to the Middle East. The next Burger Night is <br />September 26th, and the sponsor is a local homeowners association. <br />Midyear Budget Workshop on Thursday, September 6, 2018 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear reminded Council the Midyear Budget Workshop was scheduled <br />for Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. <br />Tour de Hugo on Saturday, September 22, 2018 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council the Tour de Hugo will be held on Saturday, <br />September 22, 2018, beginning and ending in Lions Park. The rides range from 6-62 miles. <br />Riders are encouraged to sign up online. <br />Wilson Tool National Manufacturing Day Open House on Friday, October 5, 2018 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council that Wilson Tool, 12912 Farnham Avenue <br />North, has invited the City Council to attend their annual open house, in honor of National <br />Manufacturing Day, on Friday, October 5, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. — 2:30 p.m. The event will <br />highlight the importance of manufacturing to the U.S. economy and showcase the rewarding, <br />highly skilled jobs available in manufacturing fields. Staff is making "Thank you" cards to send <br />to the City's manufacturing businesses. <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to schedule a meeting to attend the Wilson Tool, <br />Manufacturing Day Open House on Friday, October 5, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. — 2:30 p.m. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Reschedule Time for the Xcel Energy Training Town Grand Opening <br />At its July 16, 2018 meeting, Council scheduled a meeting to attend Xcel Energy's Training <br />Town Grand Opening on October 17, 2018, from 3-5 p.m. Xcel Energy would like to change <br />the time to 1-3 p.m. City Administrator Bryan Bear added this to the agenda and recommended <br />Council change the meeting time. <br />Klein made motion, Miron seconded, to reschedule the time for the Xcel Energy Training Town <br />Grand Opening on October 17, 2018 from 3-5 p.m. to 1-3 p.m. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />
