Minutes <br />Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission <br />Meeting of August 15, 2018 <br />Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br /> <br />Present: Dave Strub, Roger Clarke, Cathy Moore – Arcand, Mat Rauschendorfer, Ranell Tennyson <br /> <br />Absent: Nicole Schmid <br /> <br />Staff Present: Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner <br /> Scott Anderson, Public Works Director <br /> Pierre Guigere, Community Development Intern <br />Debi Close, Secretary <br /> <br />Strub called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br /> <br />1. Approval of Minutes from the July 18, 2018 Meeting <br /> <br />Moore – Arcand made a motion, Clarke seconded to approve the minutes of the July 18, 2018 Parks <br />Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Ayes: Clarke, Moore – Arcand, Tennyson, Strub <br />Abstained: Rauschendorfer <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />2. Clearwater Creek Preserve Concept Plan <br /> <br />Candace Amberg, Senior Landscape Architect with WSB & Associates presented three concept plans for <br />Clearwater Creek Preserve. <br /> <br />Concept one included a primary park entrance off of the future 140th Street extension, a small dog park, a <br />looped trail and boardwalk system that included a separated equestrian trail on the west side of the park. <br /> <br />Concept two included a main park entrance off of Fable Hill Circle North, a trail connection to Fenway <br />Boulevard, shared‐use trails on the western side of the park and primarily winter trails on the eastern side of <br />the park. <br /> <br />Concept three included multiple access points, parking lots on both the northern and southern end of the <br />park, and an extensive network of pedestrian trails and boardwalks.
