unanimously recommended approval of the applications to the City Council. Staff recommends <br />Council approve and resolutions Approving PUD, Preliminary, Final Plat, and Development <br />Agreement for The Preserve on Sunset Lake Development. <br />G.7 Approve Hiring of Kraig Pettee as a New Public Works Worker <br />Included in the City's Water and Sewer Utility budget document is funding for an additional full <br />time Public Works Department position. With the recent increase in development and expansion <br />of the City's infrastructure system, Public Works staff is being spread thin. Public Works Lead <br />Worker, Mike Loeffler and myself are recommending this position be filled prior to the start of <br />winter maintenance activities. For the past three summers, Kraig Pettee has been working for <br />Public Works Department as a seasonal worker. Kraig has done an outstanding job for the City <br />and has years of maintenance experience as a maintenance worker for Mn/DOT. This position <br />will be slotted at Pay Grade 5, Step 2, in the 2018 salary matrix. Staff recommends Council <br />approve the hiring of Kraig Pettee as a Public Works Maintenance Worker with a start date of <br />November 12, 2018. <br />G.8 Approve Hiring of Emily Weber as the New Community Development Assistant <br />At its September 4, 2018, meeting, Council approved the advertisement for a new Community <br />Development Assistant after the resignation of Rachel Leitz. Recently, staff interviewed eight <br />applicants for the position and selected Emily Weber to fill the position. This position will be <br />slotted at Pay Grade 5, Step 1, in the 2018 salary matrix. Staff recommends Council approve the <br />hiring of Emily Weber as the new Community Development Assistant with a start date of <br />November 26, 2018. <br />G.9 Approve Maintenance Agreement for Oneka Parkway Retaining Wall with in the <br />Clearwater Cove development <br />Staff has been working with DR Horton on the construction of a retaining wall on the south end <br />of Oneka Parkway in the Clearwater Cove development. The retaining wall is needed since the <br />grade of the adjacent property to the south is lower that the grade of the development. Staff is <br />comfortable with the design of the retaining wall and will continue to work out technical details <br />with the developer. The maintenance agreement outlines maintenance, liability, and removal <br />requirements. The HOA will be responsible for the maintenance of the retaining wall. Staff <br />recommends the City Council approve the maintenance agreement for the retaining wall at the <br />south of Oneka Parkway in the Clearwater Cove development. <br />K.1 Yellow Ribbon Network Update <br />Council Member Chuck Haas and Phil Klein will report to Council on the Yellow Ribbon <br />Network activities held recently. <br />1.1 Board of Canvass on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 <br />Staff would like to remind the Council they have scheduled a meeting as the Board of Canvass <br />for Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers. <br />
