MINUTES FOR THE EDA MEETING OF AUGUST 16, 2016 <br />Chair Weidt called the meeting to order at 5:02 pm. <br />PRESENT: Denaway, Gallivan, Klein, Petty, Puleo, Weidt. <br />ABSENT: Houle. <br />STAFF: Bryan Bear, City Administrator <br />Rachel Juba, Planner <br />Rachel Leitz, Community Development Assistant <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR THE EDA MEETING OF JUNE 21, 2016 <br />Klein made motion, Puleo seconded, to approve minutes for the EDA meeting of June 21, 2016. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />UPDATE ON WASHINGTON COUNTY ECONOMOC DEVELOPMENT <br />Chris Eng, Washington County Economic Development Director, spoke to the EDA. He stated that <br />Washington County Community Development Authority's vision is to ensure that programs and services <br />support and complement economic development programs initiated by cities, townships and the County. <br />He stated that Washington County has room to improve on marketing and described some events the <br />County will be participating in to market the County as a whole. He stated that he is excited to work <br />with all cities and help them with their economic development goals and help businesses locate to <br />Washington County. <br />DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT <br />Staff provided an update to the EDA on downtown redevelopment. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Klein made a motion, seconded by Petty, to adjourn at 5:48 p.m. <br />All ayes. Motion carried. <br />
