Hugo YRN December Report <br />1. Secret Santa volunteers, all 21 of them, adopted a military family for <br />Christmas. The help requested for these families came from their unit <br />command or the Minnesota Family Assistance Center. Thanks to all the <br />volunteers who brightened this Christmas for all those families. <br />Thanks from the Airmen and Family Readiness Program Manager of the 133rd <br />Air Wing of the Minnesota National Guard: Thank you very much on behalf of <br />the 133rd A families! It's an honor and privilege to work with your <br />organization to help military families! <br />Thanks from the Family Readiness Support Assistant from the 341h <br />Expeditionary Combat Aviation Brigade: On behalf of all the Aviation families <br />that you helped to have a special Christmas this year, Thank You!! We <br />sincerely appreciate your thoughtfulness, compassion and generosity. We are <br />hoping that all of you had a Blessed Christmas and will have a Peaceful and <br />Healthy New Year! Thanks for all you do. <br />2. Assistance to Military Families. Some time ago we assisted a soldier's family <br />whose wife needed emergency brain surgery; he was deployed overseas at the <br />time. We received this thank you note: My wife and I are grateful for the <br />support you showed us during a very difficult time in our lives. Words cannot <br />express how grateful we are for your help. You were therefor us when we <br />needed it most. We'll do our best to pay it forward someday. <br />a. The Army's Survivor Outreach Service requested funds for travel for mother <br />and child whose husband/father died at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. <br />b. 34th MP Company Readiness NCO requested help for female soldier who <br />needed attorney to represent her in a harassment/restraining/custory order. <br />c. Provide funds for new bed for soldier with Rheumatoid Arthritis; disability <br />and spouse job loss. <br />d. Provided funds for Gold Star widow in White Bear Lake.
