Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for January 22, 2019, Goal Setting Workshop <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />economic development along TH61 and felt talks needed to be instigated with the County to get <br />more local control of the corridor to be proactive. <br />Weidt talked about the need to figure out the park funding and getting the facility needs study <br />done. He felt progression should be shown towards these accomplishments, possibly with a <br />parks referendum. He wants to be aggressive on water reuse and put assets towards that if <br />needed. He also talked about the need to move forward on technology upgrades. <br />Council reviewed the 2018 focus goals and amended them per their conversation. There was a <br />consensus on focusing on ordinance amendments, conservation efforts, and establishing some <br />sort of funding mechanism to improve the parks, possibly a referendum which will likely need a <br />workshop. There was talk about patrol on the north end of Bald Eagle Lake during the winter and <br />talk about community outreach to involve new people. <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear will present the 2019 goals to the Council at their meeting on <br />February 4, 2019, for formal adoption. <br />Adiournment <br />Klein made motion, Petryk seconded seconded, to adjourn at 6:31 p.m. <br />All Ayes.
