Porous Pavement
Porous pavement is an infiltration practice. For the volume of storm water runoff
infiltrated by this practice, the anticipated removal of total phosphorus, total
suspended solids, and volume will be one hundred (100) percent.
Filtration
This practice consists of directing untreated storm water runoff through vegetation,
filter strips, gravel, sand filters, or other materials to remove particulates and the
corresponding pollutant load associated with them. Total phosphorus and total
suspended solids removal totals utilizing this practice are anticipated to range from
twenty-five (25) to thirty-five (35) percent for total phosphorus and from fifty (50) to
seventy (70) percent for total suspended solids.
CIP for Storm Water Projects Within the City of Hugo
City of Hugo, MN
WSB Project No. 1687-85
Page 20
