Effective April 28, 2015 Chapter Four Subsurface Sewage Treatment System Regulations <br />(F) Six inches of loamy or sandy cover material must be installed over the distribution media. <br />Cover must extend at least five feet from the ends of the rock bed and be sloped to divert <br />surface water. Side slopes must not be steeper than four horizontal units to one vertical unit. <br />Six inches of topsoil borrow must be placed on the cover material. <br />(G) One vertical inspection pipe of at least four inches in diameter must be installed along the <br />downslope portion of the absorption bed. The inspection pipe must have three -eights inch <br />or larger perforations spaced vertically no more than six inches apart. Perforations must not <br />exist above the distribution medium. The inspection pipe must extend to the absorption bed <br />and soil interface, be secured, and be capped, flush with or above finished grade. <br />(H) A vegetative cover must be established over the entire area of the at -grade. The at -grade <br />shall be protected until a vegetative cover is established by use of erosion control. The <br />established vegetative cover shall not interfere with the hydraulic performance of the system <br />and shall provide adequate frost and erosion protection. <br />72 Washington County Development Code <br />
