RESOLUTION NO. 2019 — <br />A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT <br />FOR THE 130TH STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of Hugo previously directed the City Engineer to advertise for <br />bids for the above -referenced project, and <br />WHEREAS, bids were publicly received and opened on April 30, 2019. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT BE RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hugo, <br />Minnesota, as follows: <br />All bids for the construction of the 130a' Street Improvement Project have been <br />received and are tabulated on the attached summary. <br />2. The bid of Dresel Contracting, Inc., in the amount of $2,650,716.57, for the <br />construction of said improvements, is in accordance with the plans and <br />specifications and advertisement for bids and is the lowest responsible bid. <br />3. The Mayor and Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and <br />on behalf of the City of Hugo. <br />4. The City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return <br />forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit <br />of the successful bidder and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained until a <br />contract has been executed. <br />Council members voting AYE: <br />Council members voting NAY: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 6th day of May 2019. <br />Tom Weidt, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Michele Lindau, City Clerk <br />
