Sunset I....ake Future Park Planning <br /> Denaway presented a proposal from WSB and Associates for planning the future Park on Sunset Lake.This <br /> would include data collection, meetings with the neighborhood, drafting a preliminary plan and presentation <br /> of the final plan to the Parks Commission in November. <br /> The Commission discussed drafting concepts to show options that are feasible with the site conditions to the <br /> neighborhood to get their feedback. Holding the meetings in September was preferred in hopes of getting <br /> more participation from the neighborhood versus a summer evening. <br /> Tennyson made a motion, Moore-Arcand seconded to approve the$4,600 scope of services from WSB and <br /> moving forward with planning the future park on Sunset Lake. <br /> All ayes. Motion carried. <br /> 4. 1301h Street/Hardwood Creek Trail <br /> Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner updated on the partnership project with Living Healthy Washington County <br /> Health Improvement Program. The Parks Commission allocated$20,000 with the Capital Improvement Plan <br /> for planning and design of the Hardwood Creek Trail extension. WSB is estimating the cost of the feasibility <br /> study, preliminary design,and project report to be$13,000. Of the total cost, $3,000 would come from the <br /> special parks fund, meeting the 10% match requirement for the Living Healthy Grant of$10,000.Staff is <br /> aware that the trail connections need to be evaluated excluding the railway to connect to Falcon Ave. <br /> Schmid made a motion, Haag seconded to approve the WSB 's feasibility study of the missing trail <br /> connectivity around 130th and hardwood creek. <br /> All ayes. Motion carried. <br /> 5. Other <br /> Denaway informed the City Council is currently evaluating park funding and has requested that the Park <br /> Commission members to participate in a workshop on May 13, 2019 at 7:00pm at City Hall.
