Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for May 6, 2019 <br />Page 4 of 9 <br /> <br />Klein made motion, Weidt seconded, to approve the Temporary On-Sale Liquor License for the <br />Lions to sell beer at the podcast on Friday, May 10, 2019. <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Approval of Claims <br /> <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Claims Roster as presented. <br /> <br />Approve Annual Performance Review for Parks Planner Shayla Denaway <br /> <br />Shayla Denaway was hired on May 11, 2009, as the Economic Development/Parks Intern. On <br />May 3, 2010, Council approved promoting Shayla as the new Parks Planner. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved the annual performance review for Parks Planner Shayla Denaway <br /> <br />Approve Renewal of 2 a.m. License for the Blue Heron Grill <br /> <br />Since May, 2010, the Blue Heron Grill has held a license that permits the establishment to stay <br />open until 2 a.m. This license is renewed annually with approval by the City Council. Adoption <br />of the Consent Agenda approved the renewal of the 2 a.m. license for the Blue Heron Grill. <br /> <br />Approve Renewal of 2 a.m. License for Sal’s Angus Grill <br /> <br />Since May, 2010, Sal’s Angus Grill has held a license that permits the establishment to stay open <br />until 2 a.m. This license is renewed annually with approval by the City Council. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved the renewal of the 2 a.m. license for Sal’s Angus Grill. <br /> <br />Approve Hiring of Public Works Seasonal Employees <br /> <br />In the 2019 General Fund Budget, Council approved funding for six seasonal employee positions. <br />Staff had spoken to several employees from last year who would like to return again this year. One <br />position was filled by two employees each working part time. Therefore, a total of seven employees <br />were needed to fill the six seasonal positions. Seasonal Public Works Employees assist with <br />mowing, garbage/litter removal, park maintenance, boulevard maintenance and general public works <br />maintenance. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the hire/re-hire of seasonal employees <br />Jack Menne, Roland Guareschi, Marty Schwartz, Frank Weiss, Daniel Flaherty, Paxton Zirpel, and <br />Zachary Kenoyer for the Public Works Department. <br /> <br />Approve Temporary On-sale Liquor License for the Lions Club for Good Neighbor Days <br /> <br />The Hugo Lions Club had applied for a temporary On-Sale Liquor License to serve beer and <br />Bloody Marys at the Hugo Good Neighbor Days Festival June 6-9, 2019. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved the temporary On-Sale Liquor License for Good Neighbor Days. <br /> <br />Approve Off-Site Gambling Permit for Hugo Legion for Good Neighbor Days Bingo <br /> <br />The Hugo American Legion had applied for an Off-Site Gambling Permit to conduct Bingo at <br />Hugo Good Neighbor days on June 6-9, 2019, at Lions Park. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />approved the Off-Site Gambling Permit for Good Neighbor Days. <br /> <br />
